When I first saw the ads for this R/C I was skeptical. I figured that either the cards would be fragile or the control a bit too weighty to be considered as portable as advertised. I was pleasantly surprised to instead be treated to a tough little R/C that's lightweight and fun to mess around with. Using the batteries right out of the picture it's a bit on the slow side, but I suspect that's only because I picked the tank instead of one of the race cars.Now the real reason you should get this car is to tackle mini obstacle courses. The treads provide nice grip for climbing messy office desk or homemade obstacles.If you go in wanting only a fun little tank R/C, then you'll be delighted.

Agree with the other reviews. Great concept. Poor design. This toy started out great, lots of fun, extra batteries, compact, etc. BUT.. the treads didn't last through the first day of play. The treads stretched and wouldn't grip or would slip off.

My 8 year old son just got this for Christmas, and he has played with it more than any other toy in the last 2 days. (and that is really saying something, since he got an AT-AT walker too) It is totally cool! We have not had any battery issues yet, but of course it has only been a couple of days.The size of it is really neat - the car collapses and fits inside the remote. You can literally carry this anywhere and get it moving quickly. The size makes it very agile, and we have been surprised at the obstacles it can conquer. My son has built all kinds of obstacles for it to climb over, and had a really good time with it.We have had other large RC cars in the past, but they are just too big a deal to get out and get working. This one does not need to be recharged or plugged in, and you can play with it in the house due to its size. His favorite thing today is to manuever it inside his sister's new Barbie dreamhouse, and let it take the elevator to the 3rd floor! I only gave it 3 stars for durability, because time will tell. But it has held up with constant 2 day playing so far. We did not have any issues right out of the box.
