Santa brought this for our son who is five. He asked for a Robot, and we didn't want him to have a toy that was overly complicated, but yet, one that was fun and age appropriate. This was a perfect fit. He can't stop playing with this thing. The remote is easy to use, and the robot himself is easy to understand. He has fun chasing the dogs around and shooting the foam disc's at them. They dont mind because the disc's are harmless and they enjoy the extra attention. Its a great toy robot for the price and we are very happy with our purchase. The only complaint I have (its a tiny one) is I wish you could purchase some extra disc's as I can see these getting lost easily.

Do NOT buy this product!We bought this as a birthday present for our son. He unwrapped it and then we took the box from him to take out the robot and put in the batteries. EPIC DISAPPOINTMENT ENSUED.The battery compartment has these plastic posts to hold the batteries in place. Unfortunately, they are positioned just slightly wrong and keep the top (positive-terminal) of the AA battery from contacting the metal (battery-connector) part. So when you put batteries in, nothing gets power and nothing will happen.This is a terrible failure-by-design. Most purchasers would have returned such a product right there and then. However we were hoping that this was the only issue. And, it being something that MacGyver or Daddy could fix, we temporarily bridged the gap ourselves with a bit of tinfoil so that the robot had battery power.But there was a lot more wrong than just the battery compartment...Next we discovered that the disk-shooting mechanism was broken (right out of the box), along with motor in the right arm/leg being non-functional (broken). (Again, just out of the box.) The thing would drive in circles rather than going forward. Even held off the floor with no resistance, the motor & wheels couldn't spin.At this point our son was completely crushed since he had really wanted a working toy robot and this one was just beyond hope before he even got to play with it. We considered replacement rather than refund....For all of about 2 seconds. First, with this many things wrong, what are the odds the next one would work? Second, the toy does not appear durable at all. (For example, those red antenna on the top only *look* like coiled wire. In reality they are just flimsy plastic grooved to look like a coil. We were impressed that they managed to survive shipping without breaking off!) We figure one drop onto a hard floor and this toy would be done for. Shattered thin-plastic shards everywhere.For a child's toy, this just sets a new low! Save yourself some time and save your kid some tears: DON'T BUY THIS TOY!

This robot is fantastic. It was a big hit with all of us, from the 3-year-old all the way up to his 40 something parents! Lots of fun. He talks (his name is Mike), he does 2 different dances (music is provided!), you can make him walk, slide, or just rotate his head or body left or right. The flying discs really fly. They zoom out fast and far and are accompanied with cool sound effects. As far as robots go, THIS really is a robot. It seems very durable and my 3-year-old had no problem learning how to operate the 12 button remote or load the discs within minutes. Very cool.
